TOKI & DEWEI - CONCEPT ART

I choose to create two worlds to highlight the differences between the kids. It was a great way to give the viewer a visual support to the evolution of their ambitions. I used references like “The Lovely Bones” and “The Lord of the Ring” to emphasize the feeling given by the landscape.
The Pagoda had to be scary through the eyes of childrens, she had to be impressive. She’s the representation of the challenge and the danger of the kid’s friendship, this is why I chose sharpenest rocks.
